Nov 7: Psalm 129; Hebrews 11-13

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval.
By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
•••

without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who draws near to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Nov 6: Psalm 128; Hebrews 9-10

How blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh,
Who walks in His ways.
When you shall eat of the fruit of the labor of your hands,
How blessed will you be and how well will it be for you.
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine
In the innermost parts of your house,
Your children like olive plants
All around your table.
Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed
Who fears Yahweh.

May Yahweh bless you from Zion,
That you may see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
Indeed, may you see your children’s children.
Peace be upon Israel!

Nov 5: Psalm 127; Hebrews 4-8

Unless Yahweh builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless Yahweh watches the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early,
That you sit out late,
O you who eat the bread of painful labors;
For in this manner, He gives sleep to His beloved.

Behold, children are an inheritance of Yahweh,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
How blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them;
They will not be ashamed
When they speak with enemies in the gate.

Nov 4: Psalm 126; Hebrews 1-3

God, having spoken long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days spoke to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds, who is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power; who, having accomplished cleansing for sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high

Nov 1: Psalm 123; Amos 1-2

To You I lift up my eyes,
The One enthroned in the heavens!
Behold, as the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
As the eyes of a servant-girl to the hand of her mistress,
So our eyes look to Yahweh our God,
Until He is gracious to us.
Be gracious to us, O Yahweh, be gracious to us,
For we are greatly saturated with contempt.
Our soul is greatly saturated
With the mockery of those who are at ease,
And with the contempt of the proud.

Oct 31: Psalm 122; Philemon

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
May peace be within your walls,
And tranquility within your palaces.”
For the sake of my brothers and my friends,
I will now say, “May peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God,
I will seek your good.

Oct 30: Psalm 121; Joel

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from Yahweh,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to stumble;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will not slumber and will not sleep.

Yahweh is your keeper;
Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
Yahweh will keep you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in
From now until forever.

Oct 29: Psalm 120; Titus

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live sensibly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all lawlessness, and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good works.
These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
•••

But when the kindness and affection of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not by works which we did in righteousness, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that having been justified by His grace, we would become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be intent to lead in good works. These things are good and profitable for men. But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and conflicts about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.
